The Indianapolis Veterinary Specialists Ophthalmology department is dedicated to providing safe, effective, and lasting care to our patients. We provide the latest, state-of-the-art diagnostics, treatments, and surgery options available.
Our ophthalmology services initially begin with a complete eye exam which includes, but is not limited to, the eyelids, cornea, lens, and retina. We may also use diagnostics such as Intra Ocular Pressure (IOP) measurement, Schirmer Tear Test (STT), Fluorescein staining, and Gonioscopy.
Our ophthalmology surgical suite is equipped with state-of-the-art ophthalmic equipment, as well as the safest anesthesia available. Patients are carefully monitored before, during, and after surgery. Most surgery patients are able to go home the same day as their surgery.
Following each initial exam and surgery, a complete medical report including any home care instructions, will be sent to your family veterinarian in order to complete their records.
