Dr. Banta received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Trinity College and his Masters degree in Chemistry from Purdue University. He spent 8 years designing rubber compounds for use in heavy duty tires at Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. He went on to receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ohio State University. While at OSU he was a member of the Ohio State University Raptor Rehabilitation Program where he coordinated rehabilitation flights and trained underclassmen in methods of treatment and handling of wild birds. He practiced small animal medicine for almost 2 years in the Broad Ripple area before joining the Animal Emergency Center of Indianapolis.

Dr. Smith received her Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee. She relocated to Indiana after graduation with her husband. Before joining the Animal Emergency Center, she practiced small animal medicine just south of Indianapolis. Dr. Smith spends all of her spare time with her family, including two dogs and two cats.

Dr. Sangster received her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University if Illinois. She worked one year in a mixed animal practice and the past two years at a small animal practice in Broad Ripple before joining the Animal Emergency Center of Indianapolis.

Dr. Stoots received her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University. She has been practicing small and large animal medicine for approximately 12 years now. She has a strong interest in emergency medicine and has most recently worked as an emergency clinician at another facility in Indianapolis before joining our team at the Animal Emergency Center.
